Yellow Page Marketing – Increase Your Chances Of Getting Seen
The other day I got a comment on the blog about Yellow Pages marketing. And because of the interaction I decided to do a blog post about it.
Yellow Pages marketing can be very effective if done the right way. And I want to stress…
The right way!
First, what is the right way… well it kind of depends. It depends on the size of the ad that you have to work with, who your audience is, and what you’re selling.
Consider this, if you have a small ad you have a lot less space to grab attention and make an offer. Think of it as a Pay-per-Click (PPC) ad in the search engines. You’ve got to grab attention right away and get your prospect to take some action.
The more space you have the more you can build traditional direct response ad copy into your yellow pages ad.
Second, the more you can stand out from every other ad on the page the better you’ll be at getting someone’s attention. If everything looks the same it’ll be very difficult to get your prospect to pick your product or service offering over another.
Stand out and their eyes will track to your ad.
Third, make an offer in your ad. You don’t have to just give a title, some credentials, and a phone number like everyone else. Make an offer your prospect can’t refuse.
Your yellow page marketing is going to be there for a while; you might as well make it worth your prospects effort to give you a call.
That irresistible offer will not go unnoticed if you’re able to get their attention.
Remember the people looking through the Yellow Pages are typically ready to buy something. They’re looking for something very specific and if you can offer it to them right there, they’ll be yours.
