			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Proper <b>hair salon marketing</b> could keep your appointment book filled day in and day out.</p>
<p>You probably have a day of the week that is your “slow day”.&#160; The day you dread the most because you don’t know what to do with yourself.&#160; </p>
<p><b>There are a few ways to fix that almost instantly.</b></p>
<p>Let’s assume for a moment your slow days are Wednesdays. </p>
<p>First, figure out what your high value, high margin products are.&#160; You know, the one’s that are big sellers.&#160; </p>
<p><b>Next, contact your current list of customers and let them know that you’re running a special every Wednesday.</b> Offer a great discount on this product with any purchase over a certain amount.</p>
<p>Maybe you offer this highly discounted item with a hair cut or maybe added to an additional product.&#160; There are multiple combinations you can use that could produce a bump in customers coming in.&#160; </p>
<p>Another method you could try is make your slow days some sort of customer appreciation day. I’m sure you speak with your clients while they get their hair done.&#160; You know what they like.&#160; </p>
<p><b>Maybe you can offer a Starbucks day.</b>&#160; So you give out free Starbucks coffee certificates or cards to any customer who comes in to get their hair done.&#160; You can get these cards from Starbucks and put as much money on them as you like. It doesn’t have to be much and the gesture could make a huge difference.</p>
<p>Staying along the same line of thought you could even offer a give-away for anyone who comes in on Wednesday.&#160; You then collect their names and pick one who wins a decent size prize at the end of the day.&#160; You might have to get creative to make this work but you have many options to generate tons of clients on your slow day.</p>
<p><b>Like I said in the beginning, having a proper hair salon marketing plan in place could turn your slow day inside out.</b></p>
<p>Start trying new things and you might start seeing a huge change in profits for your business.</p>

<p>They would be correct but those are just a few of the ways you can generate leads to your website.</p>
<p>Let’s look at a few other ways you can send leads to your website.</p>

<li>Post Card Marketing</li>
<li>Yellow Pages Advertising</li>
<li>Direct Mail Advertising</li>
<li>Newspaper Advertising</li>
<li>Cold Calling</li>
<li>Offline Press Releases</li>
<li>Magazine Articles</li>

<p>Those are just a few methods you can use to drive traffic to your website.&#160; Yes these are offline methods and not traditional for most online business owners.&#160; But it does give you options to improve the number of leads coming to your site.</p>
<p>Remember with some offline methods you can generate highly targeted campaigns.&#160; You’ll be able to purchase lists that have either purchased similar products or services or who are interested in your type of product or service.</p>
<p>You should consider all your options when you’re starting your lead generation campaign. </p>
<p>Consider testing different methods to find which one works best for you and your business.&#160; You don’t want to spend money and time on things that aren’t producing the kind of results you expected.</p>

<p>You’ve got a hidden asset staring you square in the face…</p>
<p><b>Your customers.</b></p>
<p>That’s right!&#160; Ask them to do business with you again.</p>
<p>You’ve got a list of people who’ve bought from you. Contact them and ask them to do more business with you.</p>
<p><b>For retail shops that could mean running an event sale.</b>&#160; There are tons of holidays and reasons why you can run a sale.&#160; In fact, here is a great site you can check out to give you some ideas for an <a href="http://www.holidaysforeveryday.com/">everyday holiday</a>.</p>
<p>I’m sure you could think of something that could give your customers a reason why to come out and do business with you.&#160; Just make sure you tie it into what you’re selling and make it appropriate.&#160; </p>
<p><b>If you sell services, you could find a reason to offer a your services at a discount, or a bundle.</b>&#160; Just come up with something and put a story around it. </p>
<p>Be creative and your customers will love it.</p>
<p>One of your other hidden assets is a referral program.&#160; Do you have one in place now?&#160; If you don’t you should get on it.&#160; The best people to solicit your product or services are the people who have done business with you before.</p>
<p><b>Make them an offer they can’t refuse.</b>&#160; Run a contest.&#160; Give them real reasons why they should tell everyone they can about your store, your services, or your event.</p>
<p>All it takes is a little thought, some planning, and you could have yourself a truck load of business after setting up a good referral program.</p>
<p><b>Another area you can focus on that is often overlooked (Hidden Business Asset) are your past customers.</b>&#160; Yes, the people who haven’t done much business with you recently.&#160; Often times they’ve just forgotten about you.&#160; </p>
<p>Make contact with them again, make them an offer to come back, apologize for anything you’ve done wrong and get them back through your door.&#160; These are people that have done business with you that left for one reason or another.&#160; The point is you may have not asked them to buy anything.&#160; This is one great quick way to increase your cash flow.</p>
<p><b>That sums up the recession marketing strategies for today.</b>&#160; If you look at your customers and evaluate what you could be doing to increase the frequency of sales or the amount of each sale you could be looking at a huge windfall in profits within the month.</p>
<p><b>Go ahead and find a reason for your customers to come back and do business with you.</b>&#160; It doesn’t matter if you’re selling products online or offline, or if you’re selling a service… these are great ways to increase your cash flow.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>There are changes happening at Google for <b>local search marketing</b> that could improve your opportunities of getting noticed.</p>
<p>This goes for all businesses.</p>
<p>Think about the impact would be if you had a #1 position in Google for your local business.</p>
<p><b>Ok, so what’s going on.</b></p>
<p>For starters Google is starting to include local search matches in their regular search results.</p>
<p>That means if you search for “accountant”, Google will check out your IP address to determine your location, and provide you a list of local search results for “accountant”.  It will then give you a list of the 10 local accountants who are in Google Local Business Center.</p>
<p>That means, if you’re an accountant or own an accounting firm you should have your Google maps info up to date in the Google Local Business Center.</p>

<p>All you have to do is go there, create a Google account if you don’t have one already, and follow the directions.</p>
<p>What that will do is give searchers a map to your store, along with your phone number and website address.</p>
<p>Here’s an example…</p>

<p><b>Now, what you see here is what will show up when you search for “accountant”.</b> This will be lower in the search engine than a few other searches but when you narrow it down to “your_city accountant” you can bet these listings will be closer to the top.</p>
<p>All this means is that local search marketing should be something every business takes a look at to see that it would benefit them.</p>
<p><b>It’s really easy to do and takes less than five minutes.</b> Of course there are other steps you can take to improve your success in marketing and improving your profits but we’ll save those for another time.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>I was reading my email the other morning and I received an update from Dan O&#8217;Day.</p>
<p><b>He&#8217;s got great stuff on radio advertising. </b> I love keeping up with what he puts out because it can be translated into print and just good ole sales.</p>
<p>Anyway, he posted on his blog about twitter.  Nothing good or bad but that he tweets.   A friend of his sent a funny video.</p>

<p>Anyway, it&#8217;s not so much the video I wanted to draw your attention to but the comments that are being made.</p>
<p>There are few plain comments but others give some good insight in how people are using twitter to their advantage.</p>
<p><b>So why do I bring this up.</b> Because I believe,  if used properly, twitter could help and improve your business.  It&#8217;s one of those tools you can use to make things happen</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also a tool that could end up being a time waster.  So be careful.</p>
<p><b>Try it out, see if it works. </b>Collect your stats.  Are you seeing improvements in business, increased efficiency, better customer service&#8230; if you can it might be worth.</p>
<p>You should start with a plan for twitter.  What do you want to use it for&#8230; customer service, updates, launches, connections?</p>
<p>Implement it.</p>
<p>Measure your results.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><b>I love Dan Kennedy style marketing</b>.&#160; It makes so much sense.&#160; His books have been suggested reading by several people I know in the industry and I believe they’re dead on.&#160; </p>
<p>So, I was reading Dan Kennedy’s book &#8211; <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1593374968?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jossspa-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1593374968">The Ultimate Marketing Plan</a> – and there is a section in there about picking the right targets.&#160; </p>
<p><b>In this section of the book he talks about the importance of aiming your weaponry at the right target.</b>&#160; If you were to take his thoughts to the battle field you would realize if you’re aiming at the wrong people, you’ll lose the battle.</p>
<p>The same thing is true with marketing and copywriting.&#160; You see, if you want to communicate a message you better be sending it to the right people, otherwise you’re probably wasting time, money, and resources.</p>
<p>In the example, Dan Kennedy talks about a carpet cleaner who was sending his direct mail packages to a zip code that had run own neighborhoods and apartment complexes.&#160; These, in his opinion, did not meet the criteria of this man’s target market.</p>
<p>With that being said when they re-targeted his letter to the appropriate list of people his conversion rate went from .25% to 2.5%.&#160; That’s a huge jump in conversions.</p>
<p><b>So the bottom line… keep it tightly aimed.</b>&#160;&#160; What Dan Kennedy was trying to convey is to target your marketing as tight as you can possibly get it to improve your overall conversion.&#160; Not everyone wants or needs to hear your message.&#160; Laser target it and you’ll be more successful.&#160; </p>
<p>If you’re shooting in the wrong direction you’ll end up losing.</p>
